TWIGS

TWIGS is an acronym for Task Workforce for Integrated Grounds Support  and is a very active, innovative volunteer group that meets every Thursday, 9am until noon, at the Arboretum Nursery. This group includes two teams:  a  Design & Build team and a Propagation Team.

The Design & Build Team continues to update the existing Arboretum Nursery facilities  to better utilize the area for more efficient plant propagation, storage, and Plant Sale preparations.

The Propagation Team's goal is to design a nursery layout similar to a commercial nursery in order to increase Plant Sale profits. They also are setting up programs to do plant research, to work on fertilization, to organize plant donations, and to maintain cutting-stock. They currently have a successful propagation program in progress,

They're not an all-work-no-play group! They plan to tour gardens and nurseries, have a plant exchange in September and invite speakers for at least two educational meetings this year.

Both men and women who are do-it-yourselfers and/or plant enthusiasts are welcomed!

Call  425.413.2572 or email Volunteer@LakeWildernessArboretum.org for more information or just stop by on a Thursday morning and join in!
